1. What are Refins
Refins are the platform's consumption units. Each operation — rendering, editing, upscaling, or generating variations — consumes a number of Refins depending on the resolution and type of service.
When you create an account, you receive 3 promotional Refins to try the platform. Additional Refins come from three sources: subscription plans, standalone packages, and promotional bonuses.
2. When Refins are consumed
Refins are debited whenever an operation is confirmed and accepted for processing:
• Image rendering (refinement) • Image editing with alterations • Upscaling / resolution increase • Variation generation (Explore mode)
The debit happens at confirmation time, before processing begins. If the operation is canceled before processing starts, Refins are refunded.
3. Cost per operation
The cost varies by operation and resolution:
• Render 1K: 1 Refin • Render 2K: 2 Refins • Render 4K: 3 Refins • Upscale 1K → 2K: 1 Refin • Upscale 2K → 4K: 2 Refins • Video generation: 15 Refins
Editing operations follow the same consumption table as rendering.
4. When Refins are NOT consumed
Refins are not debited for:
• Viewing already generated results • Uploading images • Browsing the library or projects • Creating projects • Sharing links • Rating images (feedback)
These operations are free and do not affect your balance.
5. Consumption order
When you have Refins from multiple sources, the system consumes them in the following order:
1. Subscription Refins (current cycle) 2. Promotional bonuses 3. Purchased standalone Refins
This ensures your purchased Refins last longer, since plan Refins renew each cycle.
6. Expiration
Each Refin source has its own validity rules:
• Monthly subscription Refins renew each cycle. On yearly plans, Refins are released monthly, accumulate during the paid term, and expire when the subscription ends. • Standalone Refins (purchased): expire after 12 months. • Promotional bonuses: follow the validity informed at grant time.
The balance of each source and its expiration date (when applicable) are visible in your wallet.
7. Failures and refunds
If an operation fails after Refins have been debited, the amount is automatically refunded to your account when applicable.
- The refund appears in your history as Automatic refund: rendering failed. - Refunded Refins return to the same source: subscription, bonus, or standalone. - Operations cancelled due to inactivity or exceeded limits follow the same rule.
If you identify a failure without a refund, please contact us at the email below.
8. Nature of Refins
Refins are internal platform usage credits, not currency, bank balance, financial assets, or securities. They are not transferable between users, do not accrue interest, and cannot be converted into cash, except where law or applicable commercial policy requires different treatment.
In case of termination, account deletion, chargeback, fraud, abuse, breach of the Terms, or legal obligation, promotional Refins, bonuses, and benefits may expire, be blocked, reversed, or removed. Purchased standalone Refins follow the rules displayed in checkout, wallet, and applicable law.
9. Changes
RefinAI may update costs, validity, consumption rules, plans, packages, and benefits, preserving relevant information for users when a change impacts active purchases or plans.
